Finally, departure day has arrived! On Saturday everyone met at the train station at 8:00am. Then we drove to the airport with two buses. The flight departed at 11:45am. It was a long and exhausting 9h flight. Around 30min before touching down in Philadelphia we've gotten a few turbulences. The plane started shacking and going from side to side. Felt worse than being in a badass rollercoaster. So a few of us got really sick. Soon after we got safe to the ground. Immigration wasn't a problem at all. 4 hours later we were ready for the next flight. 7:30 pm the next flight departed. After 3 hours of sleeping and chilling we landed in Fort Lauderdale. We all only wanted to go sleeping, I think that never happened in our lifes. After one hour of waiting for our cars, we found a nail in the tire of one of the cars, but Marcel fixed it super quick. So a half hour later and then finally we arrived at our hotel.
On Sunday we got up at 8:00 am and had to meet at the buses at 9:00am. Next we drove to Denny‘s by our vans and then had breakfast. This restaurant was so delicous and I think everyone has eaten enough there to be ready for the day. After Denny‘s we went to Miami to go on a speedboat trip. This speedboat called Hurricane was just amazing. It was pretty fast and just like a rollercoaster, because we have made 180 degress spins several times. But sometimes it was just hurting our backs and butts, because we were like jumping on the sea while riding. But we weren‘t just speeding around, we were stopping at some points like celebrity houses and other sights. The driver himself was such a cool dude, and the mood of everyone else was fabulous too. Then the speedboat trip ended and we went to the notorious Miami South Beach. The beach was pretty hot so we had to put on some serious amount of sunscreen. At the beach we went swimming, chilling and doing some sports. Some of us wanted to go for a swim, but the lifeguard called us out of the water, because there were two sharks wanting close to shore. That was kind of exciting. Anyway, it was sad that we had to leave so early. Afterwards we went to Sweet Tomatoes to have dinner. In this restaurant you can eat everything you want and no matter what amount for a good price. The food was pretty good there but I think everyone agrees that Denny‘s was better. After the dinner we went back to the hotel. Pretty much everyone went to the pool and it was a great atmosphere with everyone there. All of us went back to the rooms at around 8:30pm. Everyone then went to sleep.

We are the twelfthgeneration which has the opportunity to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are ?? students from four different classes (??). This year we are many more students than in the past evelen years. All of us are very excited about the whole trip. We are going to visit many famous locations and we’ll do a lot of different things with our teacher (Mr. Hediger). The whole situation is going to be new for most of us, because we have never been nonstop together for such a long time. Furthermore, most of us have never flown so far. But, we think, that this won’t be a problem and we are going to have a great time anyway. Actually we don't really know what to expect, but we're all looking forward to it.
