We are the twelfthgeneration which has the opportunity to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are ?? students from four different classes (??). This year we are many more students than in the past evelen years. All of us are very excited about the whole trip. We are going to visit many famous locations and we’ll do a lot of different things with our teacher (Mr. Hediger). The whole situation is going to be new for most of us, because we have never been nonstop together for such a long time. Furthermore, most of us have never flown so far. But, we think, that this won’t be a problem and we are going to have a great time anyway. Actually we don't really know what to expect, but we're all looking forward to it.

Tuesday, May 2018

This morning some of us prepared breakfast at 7.45 so that it would be ready for everyone at 8.00. Malin didn't quite get the memo because she overslept and had to be woken by Giada at 8.03. After breakfast we had time to get ready for our day at the SeaWorld. We had to put sunscreen on, wear closed shoes and bring a water bottle. An hour later we arrived. Mr. Hediger "forced" us to ride the Kraken and was really proud of Alessia of following his order.
Later we split up into smaller groups to explore the park. Most of us went on the other rides, looked at the animals one of us even got a Hanna tattoo. At 12.30 all of us watched the orca (killer whale) show and we have to say it was fantastic. After the show we had some difficulty finding everyone but in the end we found each other. Then we ate hot dogs and fed some stingrays with shrimps. It was a weird feeling having food being sucked out of between your fingers. Feeding the rays wasn't the only thing we could do. We were also allowed to pet them. The floor of the stingray pool was colorful which Manujan didn't quite get. He told the people around him to 'pet the colorful ones' confusing the pool floor with the rays. One after another the smaller groups broke free from the big one and explored the park further. Some of us went on the rollercosters. Elena's highlight was visiting the manatee part of the park and in preparation for that visit she kept singing manatee song. The embarrassing thing for Lara was in the habitat next to the manatees which was occupied by sea turtles. She thought that a turtle witch was made out of stone was dead or asleep and even asked her friends if this was true they of course didn't believe that she was serious. And it took her about 20 minutes until she realized her friends weren't joking.
The sea lion and otter show was the last thing we saw that day. It was funny.
Afterwards we had some difficulty finding the exit but when we did we got into the car and left.
15 mins later five students plus Mr. Hediger and Daniel left to buy food for dinner. It was pasta with different sauces. After dinner we were free to do what we wanted but most went swimming in the pool to cool down after this long day excited for the next one.
