We are the twelfthgeneration which has the opportunity to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are ?? students from four different classes (??). This year we are many more students than in the past evelen years. All of us are very excited about the whole trip. We are going to visit many famous locations and we’ll do a lot of different things with our teacher (Mr. Hediger). The whole situation is going to be new for most of us, because we have never been nonstop together for such a long time. Furthermore, most of us have never flown so far. But, we think, that this won’t be a problem and we are going to have a great time anyway. Actually we don't really know what to expect, but we're all looking forward to it.

Friday, May 2018

Today we had to get up early and be ready at 6:30am. First of all we drove to Denny‘s. This took us around one hour. We had a delicious and healthy breakfast, lol. After breakfast, some of us were at the restrooms and Manujan tried to flush the toilet. The toilet ran over immediately and the whole floor was wet. A few moments later we drove further South to the Keys. Arriving in the Keys, Lara asked us if we were in Mexico now. A little later we arrived at Robbie's where all of us, well actually just a few of us, were brave enough to hand feed the gigantic tarpons. Mischievous pelicans turned out to be real party poopers. Every once in a while they stole fish out of our baskets or even straight out of our hands. Sometimes they even pricked us in our calves.
It took us another hour until we arrived in Marathon. We wanted to go snorkeling but sadly the waves were too big to go there. Instead of snorkeling we went to Sombrero Beach. We had a great day. We‘ve played football and volleyball. Of course we also went swimming in the great, warm sea. Manue stood into a coral and furthermore some of us got sunburned. After passing the time at the beach, we went to a restaurant called Sunset Grille Marathon. The food there was good but nothing special. The chicken wings were quite spicy, too spicy for Dario. He made such a fuss because we said everybody has to eat three of them, but Dario refused. Well the great thing of this restaurant wasn‘t the food, it was the pool. There was a huge pool in which we were allowed to swim in during dinner time. Now we are on our way back to Fort Lauderdale. Stay tuned, tomorrow the next report will come.
